Rental Process & Delivery

How Does the “White-Glove” Delivery and Setup Work?

Unlike traditional rental yards, we don’t just drop a box. We deliver the equipment directly to your driveway or garage, perform a professional setup, and conduct a brief safety walkthrough to ensure you're comfortable with the gear before we leave.

What is Your Service Area in Toronto and the GTA?

We currently serve the City of Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. This includes North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, Mississauga, and Markham. If you're slightly outside this range, contact us to see if we can accommodate your location.

Do I Need to Be Home for the Delivery and Pickup?

Yes. Because our service includes a mandatory safety walkthrough and an inventory check of the equipment, someone must be present at the time of delivery and pickup.

When is Equipment Delivered to my Residence?

We aim to deliver all your requested equipment the evening of the date your rental begins. You will then be given 2 days, for weekend rentals (Friday evening until Sunday evening), or a specified (by you) number of days for weekday rentals. All drop-offs and pick-ups are performed in the evening, ensuring you have full days to work on your car.

Automotive Lift Equipment Safety

How Do I Know if the QuickJack Will Fit My Vehicle?

Most vehicles will fit at least one QuickJack model. We have a variety of lifts to ensure your car will fit. You should measure the distance between jack points on your vehicle to ensure they will fit. You should also measure the distance between your tires (along one side), making sure the lift will fit comfortably between them. You can then compare those measurements with the specifications of each lift on our lift information page [this should link to the QuickJack rentals page with specifications of each lift available]. If you have any questions or are unsure, feel free to reach out to us -

What Kind of Surface Do I Need for an Automotive Lift?

Safety first: Automotive Lifts must be operated on a flat, level concrete surface. We cannot set up or permit the use of lifts on dirt, grass, gravel, or steep inclines, as it compromises the stability of the vehicle.

Is the equipment insured and safe to use?

Absolutely. Every lift is a late-model TL series unit, meticulously inspected after every rental. Furthermore, Home Mech Rentals carries comprehensive commercial liability insurance to protect our business and provide you with peace of mind.

Requirements & Liability

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes. A standard liability waiver must be signed before the equipment is released. You can preview this document on our [Documents & Safety] page.

Are there any mandatory training videos?

Yes. As part of our commitment to safety, you are required to watch our safety orientation videos located on the [Documents & Safety] page prior to your delivery date.

What happens if a tool is lost or damaged?

We conduct a joint inventory check at both delivery and pickup. In the event of damage or loss, the customer is responsible for the replacement cost of the item as outlined in the rental agreement.
